Joining us on a Task
First of all contact the task leader to get the latest details and arrange a lift if you need one. Wear old clothing and strong shoes or boots, and bring waterproofs. Leave your new Goretex as it WILL get holes in it - either from thorns or sparks from the bonfire. If you are staying all day then don't forget a packed lunch.

There's always the option of doing something a little different if the mood strikes! Here's a creative piece of DIY recycling, using the bark stripped from chestnut when making fencing posts. |
You need no conservation skills as an experienced task leader will be there to instruct you. All the tools are provided and there will be a safety talk at the start to mimimise risk of accidents. There are regular breaks for free refreshments, for which our group is justly famous.
Everyone is very welcome no matter how little time you can spare or how relaxed you want to take it. Please note that with the current laws on child-protection, we are not able to allow anyone under the age of 18 to attend a task unless they are accompanied by a responsible adult. If you join us regularly, then it is a good idea to make sure that your tetanus shots are up to date.
